The work is part of a larger exhibition project, entitled The Feast of Wounded Bodies, the result of research carried out during the period of residence at Kora Contemporary Arts Center in Castignano de’ Greci (LE). In addition to the environmental installation Resting bodies, Tenderhearted Surface – a silicone rubber carpet, and the sound track A song for the flesh are part of the project.

Starting from a contemplative gaze on the natural landscape which, although highly anthropized, appears strong, hard, characterized by the constant emergence of rocks, the artist meditates on the ambiguity of this appearance. The stone that characterizes the area, in fact, is actually a rather soft material which, exposed to atmospheric agents, reveals all its fragility.
