The project was originally created for Collaterals of Manifesta 12 held in Palermo in 2018 and in collaboration with the Mare Memoria Viva Museum in Palermo. The artistic intervention bridges citizens and the sea, starting from the negation present in the Italian word “an-negare”. The social and political analysis made by the artist and linked to the territory starts from the use of language through which the participatory action has been developed. This establishes a dialogue with the city, the sea, the individual and collective memory of the inhabitants. The action is a trigger for the artist to approach people and trying to offer further and new perspectives, both internal and external.
