Paolo Mele
Paolo Mele (1981) is cultural manager and project curator. Born on the extreme tip of Apulia Region. He holds a PhD in Communication and New Technologies (IULM, Milan).
Since 2011, he has been directing Ramdom, an organization dedicated to contemporary cultural and artistic projects. He is the director of Kora – Center of Contemporary Art and President of STARE – Network of Italian Artist Residencies.
From 2015 to 2020, he was the director of Lastation, an artistic and cultural center located at the last train station to the southeast side of Italy (Gagliano/Leuca). In 2013, he initiated the project “Investigation of the Extreme Lands,” a critical reinterpretation of the territory of Capo di Leuca through contemporary art languages.
A cultural planning expert, consultant for various public and private organizations, he has worked for the Young Artists’ Biennale of Europe and the Mediterranean and collaborated with several international organizations. From 2018 to 2020, he served as Project Manager for the Matera Basilicata 2019 Foundation.
