Jacopo Rinaldi

Jacopo Rinaldi is an artist and researcher. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and specialized as a fellow in the course of Visual Arts and Curatorial Studies of the Naba in Milan with a thesis on the relationship between the archive of Harald Szeemann and the architectural space that preserves it. Through photography, drawing and moving images he analyzes the relationship between memory, archive and architecture in the transmission of knowledge. His works have recently been exhibited in associations and institutions, including: PAV, Parco Arte Vivente, Turin; MACRO, Rome; LeWitt Studio, Spoleto; Casa Testori, Novate Milanese; Casa Masaccio, San Giovanni Valdarno; Fondazione Francesco Fabbri, Pieve di Soligo; Rivoli2, Rome. He has taken part in residency programs such as Mahler LeWitt Studios/Viaindustriae, Careof, Viafarini, Fondazione Spinola Banna, Fondazione Pistoletto, associazione Ramdom, dOCUMENTA (13).

He is a member of Mnemoscape, a research platform focused on issues related to memory, methodology and archiving.

Rinaldi was one of the four artists in residence selected for the project “Until the end of the sea” realized with the support of “Sillumina – Private copy for young people, for culture”, Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism and SIAE
