From May to December 2023, Kora-Centro del Contemporaneo will host Ogni Altro Suono ’23, a multidisciplinary project of musical performances at the Palazzo De Gualtieriis in Castrignano de’ Greci.

After having explored the reasons of dwelling with respect to the house and the village, Ogni Altro Suono raises the lens to reconsider the centrality of its position with respect to a more extended area of interest: no longer the extreme understood as the most south-eastern point of Italy, but a place at the centre of the Mediterranean and all its potential cultural and socio-political extensions. We will try to imagine a sensibility and a vision of the “Extended” South: a tool, a working methodology, but at the same time a bridge through which to investigate a plurality of perspectives, not only in its extension and geographical determination, but through a broader line capable of tracing the root of a common feeling among the peoples who inhabit it. The project continues to focus on the heterogeneity of the proposal, opening up to a broader international contribution in order to create deeper opportunities for comparison and contamination, opening up a dialogue and consolidating relations with realities working in the same direction within the international circuit of festivals, music reviews, production centres and virtual communities.

The concert series will be developed over 9 evening appointments, with an entrance fee of 3 euros and 1 free workshop.
