“I associate my gesture with the unique one of the sculptor who models the material by removing and adding it to make it his own. This is why the performative approach is the basis of my research. Working with the body of things, with their evident physical presence, is what that characterizes my being an artist and my way of making art. “
“His work is a research on the multiplicity of the concept of the sacred, in particular on the fickleness, all human, that characterizes sacred objects. The fetish, the relic are specious subjects that the artist makes protagonists of his discourse for talking about a world that is no longer connected with its energy. The concrete shovels exhibited in his studio celebrate unknown entities, manipulated images, gods and goddesses we do not know and in which we do not place faith “. (Silvia Maiuri)
