Andrea Lissoni

Andrea Lissoni, PhD, is art historian and curator and works as curator at Tate Modern (London)

He was curator at HangarBicocca, Milan (2011-2014).
In 2000 he founded the International Festival Netmage (since 2012 Gianni Peng/Live Arts Week) and the art network Xing, which he has co-directed since then. Since 2007 he is Chief Editor of the magazine  “Cujo”, whose most recent publication are by Apichatpong Weerasethakul (2009) and Jimmie Durham (2011). He is regular contributor to “Mousse Magazine” and co-curator of V-Drome, an online programme of screenings of films by visual artists and filmmakers. He is professor at the School of Fine Arts (Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Milano) since 2001, and at the University Bocconi since 2007. At HangarBicocca, since 2010, he curated JO, by Cameron Jamie and Keiji Haino (2009), End, a retrospective of artist and filmmaker Carlos Casas (2010), The movement of people working, by Phill Niblock (2010) From here to ear by Céleste Boursier Mougenot (2011),Non Non Non, a major retrospective of artists and experimental filmmakers Angela Ricci Lucchi/Yervant Gianikian, Equilibrando la curva, a solo show of Wilfredo Prieto, On Space Time Foam, by Tomàs Saraceno,Primitive, solo show of Apichatpong Weerasethakul and, recently, Mike Kelley’s exhibition Eternity is a Long Time.
