At the start of the project Offendicula Gaia di Lorenzo thanks to the support of the call SIAE “Per Chi Crea”, a program promoted by the MIC and managed by SIAE that finances artistic production projects aimed at the creation and promotion of unpublished works of young artists, Under 35 and resident in Italy.

Alternating phases of residence and research, the artist will create a new work in the public space of Castrignano de’ Greci. Offendicula is a project that reflects on intimate themes, such as motherhood and addiction among individuals, inspired by meticulously collected sources, sometimes historical, sometimes drawn from personal memories, other times by those of the locals gathered for the occasion through moments of residence passed on the territory.

All this information will be collected and formalized in a work composed of a series of painted and engraved glass fragments, arranged as a bollard for thieves and birds, typical of the Apulian country houses.

The resulting work will be installed in site-specific mode in Castrignano de’ Greci.
