The Ramdom association has always characterised its project activity for cultural and creative work in remote and difficult-to-access areas, ever since the first decision to bring artists, curators, designers, cultural operators, and researchers to work in the extreme edge of Apulia, in what we have renamed extreme lands. But the organisation of exhibitions, artistic residencies, concerts, and conferences in an area where public transport does not guarantee accessibility to spaces and places outside the city (outside Lecce) and companies specialising in museum and art installations are almost non-existent, become activities that have important repercussions on the environment due to the amount of CO2 emissions and the production of waste and refuse.
Based on these considerations, the objective of the Kora_Zero project is to make the entire chain of our activities and projects sustainable, starting with the space we manage, Kora – Centro del Contemporaneo, and then continuing with the flats used for residences, the movement of equipment and installations, the movement of staff and guests, and then continuing with awareness-raising activities aimed at our users and the community.
Through this project, therefore, we aim to make the chain of services offered as green as possible with particular reference to:
Exhibitions and exhibitions;
Artistic residencies;
Concerts and events;
Activities
