ALICE VISENTIN

ALICE VISENTIN is an artist who lives and works in Turin, where she studied painting at the Albertina Academy. Among the places where her works have recently been exhibited are the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome and the Italian Cultural Institute in Paris.

In 2017 she had her first solo show in the non-profit space TILE in Milan. The visual references present in her works such as hats, walking sticks and long dresses are drawn from the culture and mountain lands of her origins. This exploration of her own cultural background has given the artist the opportunity to understand how knowledge is produced through rituals and oral histories and how these processes give new meanings to objects and encounters.

She carry out a period of Research Residence at Le Stanze di KORA, from November 22nd to December 4th 2021.
