Andreco

Andreco was born in Rome in 1978, lives between Bologna and New York, is a PhD in Environmental Engineering on urban sustainability, has conducted post-doctoral research on the environmental benefits of urban green technologies in collaboration with the University of Bologna and Columbia University in New York. Since 2000, in parallel with his scientific training, he has been carrying on his artistic research. In recent years the two researches, artistic and scientific, have merged in a single multidisciplinary research that has as its main theme: the relationship between urban space and natural landscape and between man and the environment in all its forms. The works produced by Andreco synthesize the concepts at the basis of his research into symbols, images that go to compose his visual and conceptual language.
Andreco uses various techniques, from drawing to painting, from sculpture to video, which are often combined in exhibitions; he creates installations in closed spaces, murals and public art projects sometimes supported by a participatory path.
