Opens May 24th at 7 pm “Wetlands. Paesaggi Umidi”, the personal Annalisa Zegna exhibition curated by Susanna Corchia. Zegna is the second junior artist of the residency program proposed within the “Ogni Casa è un Villaggio” project.
The WETLANDS – WET LANDSCAPES exhibition is the result of a period of residence in the Salento area in which the artist followed the traces of the mineral, vegetal, animal and human presences sedimented over the millennia from the Pliocene times and the ancient coastal marshes up to the accumulations of plastic brought from the sea onto the dunes of the present.
The complex of works on display (sculptures, prints, audiovisual installations) presents itself as an imaginary and at the same time real journey which condenses a research journey, a long series of conversations and meetings, resonances with readings and writings, walks in company and in solitude between land and water.
The exhibition is part of the residency program “Ogni Casa è un Villaggio” within the “Il Borgo del Contemporaneo” project, a project of the Municipality of Castrignano de’ Greci financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU Measure 2.1 of the PNRR “Attrattività dei Borghi”.
