From 10 February until 1 April Giuseppe De Mattia in artistic residence at KORA, Contemporary Art Center.

During this time, where the artist will be senior artist of learning residencies of Formarti project, will make a new art production about his research already started. It is the “Fatterelli”, a series focused on little stories commonly spread in oral language transmitted between people of several generations.

Each work is set by one or more photos (gelatin silver prints in a single copy that negative of is destroyed immediately after printed yet) and crayons blue/red on the passe-partout cardboard. In their turn these are colored by a mix of fountain pen ink and water.
The work, realized ad hoc by Kora, will be used as the plot for short monologue played out on small verandes at street level, very typical of somewhat kind of Salento’s residential house.
Every performance will be recorded by videos and photos and be part of a more complex work, comprehensive and unusual in relation to the ordinary formalisation of the series.
