Elena Bellantoni

Elena Bellantoni lives and works between Berlin and Rome. After graduating in Contemporary Art at La Sapienza University of Rome 110/110 Summa cum Laude, she studied in Paris and London, where in 2007 she obtained a MA in Visual Art at the WCA University of Arts London. She studied dance, theatre and performing arts and she attended workshops in Italy and abroad. In 2007 she founded the Platform Translation Group and in 2008 she co-founded the non-proft space 91mQ art project space in Berlin. In 2018 she won Italian Council. In 2014 her work The Fox and the Wolf: Struggle for Power was acquired by the collection of Ministero degli Affari Esteri La Farnesina Collection. She is a professor of “Body Phenomenology” at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome; and of Drawing and Illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts of Frosinone. Her research focuses on the concepts of identity and otherness through relational dynamics that use language and body as tools for interaction. She formalizes her projects through video, photography, performance and installations.
