lives and works in Venice, Italy
Lucia Veronesi graduated in Painting at the Accademy of Fine Arts of Brera, Milan. She moved to Venice in 2003. She works with video, collages, paintings and drawings. Her latest works draws upon the idea of landscape and passage from a cozy and safe place like home to an external, threatening and catastrophic space. She especially explores and investigates new visions and meanings of landscape through a continuous process of inflection of collage and painting, from pictorial matter to moving matter. Her research deals with video and a more material and pictorial work at the same time: they often interact and one influences the other. Previously her work has focused on the concept of desire and possession, in particular on hoarding, a mental disorder that drastically changes domestic space. Her works and videos were selected for several national and international solo e group shows and festival. She is co-founder of Spazio Punch where she was co-artistic director until 2015.
