Devin Kovach, originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, Devin Kovach is an American artist currently living and working in Rome, Italy. He holds an MFA from the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and a BFA from the University of New Mexico. His artwork incorporates elements of printmaking, photography, and installation, and explores the ways we experience and understand architectural space. The hand-drawn combines with the mechanical, reality mixes with invention, while light animates, describes, and confuses space. He has exhibited in the US and Italy, and has participated in residency programs at Anderson Ranch in Colorado, the KALA Art Institute in California, the Printmaking Center of New Jersey, and Officina Stamperia del Notaio in Tusa, Sicilia. Alongside his artistic practice, Kovach is professor of printmaking at Temple University in Rome.
