Nuvola Ravera studied Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Genoa, attended a master’s degree in contemporary photography at the Cfp Bauer in Milan, Cinema and video at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brera – Milan and the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst – Leipzig. She has worked alongside various artists in the production of selected projects including Armin Linke in Berlin, Bouchra Khalili in Genoa, Enli Zhang and Giorgio Andreotta Calò. She lives and works in Venice where in 2016/17 she participated in the residency program of Bevilacqua La Masa and is currently completing the IUAV University at the Department of Visual Arts. At the moment she is taking part in a period of training in ethno-clinical mediation at the Sagara study centre in the province of Pisa. She has exhibited and collaborated with several institutions including: Museo di Arte Contemporanea Villa Croce in Genoa, Museo del Novecento in Naples, World Social Forum of the inhabitants of Tunis, Ex Lanificio in Naples, Fondazione BLM, Museo di Aveiro, Atelierhaus Salzamt in Linz, Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan, Museo Fattori in Livorno, Fondazione Pistoletto – Biella, Biennale di Venezia. It has appeared in publications: Lady Dior, as seen by a new generation of Italian artists, Mousse Publishing, Genova Ventimiglia Genova, Humboldt Books and has been nominated by the magazine Artribune as the best young Italian artist for 2017.

Ravera has been one of the artists in residence selected for the project “Until the end of the sea”, produced thanks to the support of  “Sillumina – Copia privata per i giovani, per la cultura”, Ministero dei beni e delle attività culturali e del turismo e SIAE .
