IRENE TONDELLI works in the fields of communication, photography and curatorship.

She is graduated in Photography from Libera Accademia di Belle Arti in Brescia, then specialised in art direction at Accademia di Comunicazione in Milan and in contemporary image curatorship at FMAV Fondazione Modena Arti Visive.

Her research, initially focused on documentary and landscape photography, has expanded to embrace digital art and new media.

She is co-creator of Fanzastic, an itinerant event dedicated to photographic self-publishing and independent publishing and founder of Curatorial Maps, a project that engages emerging international female curators and photographers.

In collaboration with FMAV Modena, she spends a period of artist residence as a curator at Le Stanze di Kora, from 22nd November to 6th December 2021.
