Rosario Sorbello (Catania, 1978) lives and works in Venice.
He studied curatorial practice at Venice IUAV University, graduating in Visual Arts Design and Production in 2011. He curated exhibitions in Rome, Venice, Stockholm and Florence. He has been a member of Trial Version collective, working on the theme of reuse of abandoned spaces. His work is characterized by collaboration practices with young artists in which the curatorial aspect is often combined to artistic one without a distinct and pre-established separation. Since 2014 he is member of the group ‘Gli Impresari’. focused on the research of forms of artistic production that, since the Modern Age, have contributed to establishing the process of spectacularization of political system and society.
The group’s work has been exhibited in several solo and group exhibitions including: Uffizi Live, Gallerie degli Uffizi, Florence; Talent Prize, Finalist, Macro Museum Rome; Manifesta 11, Cabaret der Kunstler – Zunfthaus Voltaire, Zurigo; .
