Marco Ceroni

He lives and works in Milan.

In his practice he deals with urban space, especially of how art can subvert the our image of city and the way we inhabit it. He is interested in exploring the city and giving a different interpretation of this: another possibility.

The possibility of new urban maps in which one can catch a glimpse of the spaces where “forms of life” are able to exist, and where others can trigger new social practices.

He finds it particularly interesting to pursue these reflections within the suburbs, the areas now implicated in degradation, in the empty spaces abandoned by the metropolis, the terrain vague, and he thinks that in these intersections, art and individual can seek and find lines of escape from the present and from the fully coded and sterile surrounding.
